The Chapter find us on Knighthawk 12 en route from the USS William Clinton strike group to the USS George W. Bush strike group.
Admiral Barksdale is aboard and he gets a great ariel view of his battle strike group catching up with Admiral Cooper's warships.
Once onboard the USS George W. Bush, the Admiral heads to the flag bridge to join Admiral Copper for a closed-door meeting with Secretary of the Navy and the Chief of Naval Operation.
Does the idea of a nuclear detonation in the Southern Ocean which contains 70% of the world's water frighten you?
The Southern Ocean...do you know where this is?
Well...it should!
JR's courage to insist that they asked the right questions. This is true leadership.
Your thoughts.
Oops! Now we know that Secretary Bird is being held under ‘aggressive interrogation’ in Morocco. Thanks, Admiral Barksdale.
JR discovery of C4 explosives attached on all sides of the hull on the lower decks of Fireship Savannah will be a game changer. Why would it not be?
Do you still buy into Savannah and Charleston as the intended blast zone?
Or is there another target. Genesis wants this beast to drop deep. I am just asking? I am just the messenger.
It appears that the Puerto Rico Trench has bubbled up in conversation. The Puerto Rico Trench is the deepest part of the Atlantic Ocean. The Puerto Rico Trench is located on the boundary between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. This oceanic trench runs between the Lesser Antilles subduction zone to the south and the major transform fault zone or plate boundary, which extends west between Cuba and Hispaniola through the Cayman Trench to the coast of Central America. The trench is 497 miles long and has a maximum depth of 5.373 miles at Milwaukee Deep, which is the deepest point in the Atlantic Ocean.
Why is this an issue?
We might have thought the Quartermaster was selfish in his blast zone targets and a bit bias toward the Lajes do Pico people and their island. My impressions of him were changed when I learned he had relatives currently living in the Cape Verde Islands…the new blast zone targets.
Well…what about you?
This chapter finds JR being chosen for a special OP that will be pivotal in the final outcome as they chase this beast across the deep ocean. He was chosen by the Admirals because he has "heart."
What exactly does this mean? “Heart”
Captain Anderson knew of JR's special OP as he was briefed earlier. But he was unaware that the Admirals had also accepted a special OP.
The ' Venturi Effect' ...never heard of it. But this is not science fiction.
Have you?
Ok...this is as real as it gets. What ran through your mind when Admiral Copper hands Captain Andeson the handwritten letter
