Well...we have come full circle. This chapter finds us back at Fort Stewart with Colonel Werner' s group. We find JR's best friend Daniel bent over in agonizing grief.
Jeff, the captured Genesis Commander and young brother of Daniel looks on.
Do you think Jeff can sense the horrific impact his decisions has made on this world and his family?
Does Jeff have any regrets?
Colonel Werner grabbed Daniel by the arm and as they walked...he told Daniel the Nordic tale of the Valkyries. I think that is exactly what Daniel needed to hear.
Your thoughts...
Later on that month...at the Air Show in Beaufort South Carolina...the Armed Forces paid tribute to JR.
I was so taken by JR wife's courage and what she told Daniel when she saw him in one of those moments. I was really moved by this.
What about you?
Several months later we find ourselves at Berth 9 at Georgia Ports. Daniel buddy Todd took him there on a Saturday to tour the new container ship everyone was talking about.
Daniel was emotionally moved by events and celebration. So was I.
I thought that what the shipping industry did for Daniel was exceptionally and simply just a magnificent 'THANK YOU'
How about you?
